Robbie Davis Floyd, PhD, is a Research Fellow in the
Department of Anthropology at the University of Texas,
Austin. A cultural anthropologist specializing in ritual,
gender, and reproduction, she lectures nationally and
internationally in these related areas.
She is currently studying contemporary transformations in midwifery in the U.S. and Mexico and writing a book on ritual.
